Grade: C- Pentimento by Cathleen Faye -- An interesting premise: Scully was replaced by a clone when she was 'returned' from her abduction in S2. Nearly six years later, Mulder is still oblivious and the real Scully is still in captivity, but now it's Mulder's turn to be abducted, which makes for a grim reunion. Whether despite the ambitious premise or because of it, the fic felt like a rough concept for a much longer, more well thought out piece. ... 1, 2, 3 ...
